  • LVL1 Moving
    • Where we are now:
      • 45 cu yd of junk thrown away
      • Tail end of clean out phase
      • Rumpke hasn't been communicating well
    • Where we're going
      • Construction permit pulling will be happening soon
      • New walls will be up within a week or two hopefully
      • Finally moving stuff from old space
    • Ben will be pressure washing the floors
    • Opened email dialog with landlords about holes in the floor
    • Sean has computed HVAC requirements. May need to investigate ductless split system for classroom.
    • Given permission to remove glass panes but keep frame unaltered
    • Pallet Jack to be lent to LVL1. LVL1 will probably buy one (unpowered)
    • Chris introduced idea to keep everything on a pallet. Things not on pallet will be non-compliant and treated as such.
    • Tom will lend the pallet jack
  • Community Foundation Grant
    • $1000 ADA ramp money has been spent on dumsters with permission
    • Officers & Directors insurance purchased
    • Laser cutter vendor in USA has been found (waiting to spend this upon move in)
      • Will need extra lenses & mirrors on stock
      • Brad saw laser in person & easier to use
      • Filter kit? May need one for the air output
      • Will be getting
    • $4000 on new shelving has been spec'd
      • 1500 lbs per shelf
    • Cleaning money defered
    • Mill upgrades defered
    • Need to spend money by Jan. 20 2015
  • Makerships
    • No makership for May.
    • Need more promotion for this program
    • Paypal is no longer separating incoming makership monies from general fund
  • LVLUp Kids Group
    • Girl Scouts still talking about what to do with their maker space
    • Looking for places to meet
    • Need to meet with families at different places
  • Community Foundation Day of Giving Fund
    • Anonymous donor helped round out total to $9000.
    • Left overs to be deposited to general fund
    • 56 unique donors. Thank you so much!
    • No longer needed to run a crowd funding campaign
    • Received the matching funds, but the other funds will not be released until June 30.
  • NEED MOAR WORKSHOPS
    • People may be too busy with moving to have workshops?
    • Financial guy will give a talk
    • Post-apocalyptic workshop
    • Mayor led workshop
  • Maker Faire Louisville
    • Adding block, date set, staying open until 10 pm
    • Mayor named leader for Maker Faire Makercities for DC
  • Philanthropic Giving
    • May have a lead with the Geenes Foundation
    • Likes LVL1. Have four grant opportunities per year
    • Need grant written for educational endeavors. Can spin this to get safer tools possibly.
    • Focus on early life education
    • Need to figure out how to put LVL1 in front of this groups more
  • Tim is working on financials
    • Have enough money to cover higher rent & utilities, etc.
    • Is it worth exploring new options outside Pay Pal?
    • What is estimate for utilities going forward?
      • Sean may offer to have web facing power monitoring of the space
    • Need a camera on the new door
  • Naming & Sponsorship
    • Jason's boss is seriously interested in naming a spot in the space
    • Need a naming right term limit among other restrictions
    • Would need to put the item up for vote to the membership
  • Need to update clock for Member move out date?
  • Set up LVL1-Announce email for members to notice important emails.
  • Solar power may become a possibility through grant at the new space.
  • Tim has talked to a 501C3 CPA. Not a good experience.
  • Think about adding a Board of Advisors
