- 01. Know your power tool (read and understand the owner's manual before using and understand the specific hazards)
- 02. Ground all tools (use grounded 3-prong plug inserted into proper grounding type receptacle)
- 03. Keep guards in place (and in working order with proper adjustment and alignment)
- 04. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches (form habit to check they are removed from tool before turning on the machine)
- 05. Keep work area clean
- 06. Avoid dangerous environment
- 07. Keep children away
- 08. Make workshop kid-proof
- 09. Dont force tool

- 12. Use safety goggles (head protection)

- MIND THE GAP between the table/steady_rest and the rotating sandpaper belt/disk. Have a safe hand and arm exit strategy should the belt pull your stock into the gap.
- Always wear safety glasses. If you haven’t used this sander before, make practice cuts on scrap softwood stock and then try hardwood scraps.

- 6" x 48" sanding belt - 9" dia. sanding disk
