Welcome
to LVL1! Louisville's Premier Hackerspace
"Where am I and What is this place?"
- A community Hackerspace that operates as a treehouse for hackers, tinkerers and creative minds of Louisville to work on their projects together.
- Everything around you was put there by someone caring enough to leave it behind for the next, from familiar equipment and useful materials to things you've never seen before.
"How Can I Get involved and Use the Space??"
- 1.Sign the waiver - We have dangerous tools that can cause serious injury if not used correctly/carefully. We're not responsible if you hurt yourself with them but we are happy to help you learn!
- 2.Return to Hack with us, LVL1 is open when members are present to host and we are available for you to do cool things here without any obligation but to be Excellent to each other.
- We try to be here at regular times to help you schedule your return, join us for events on our CALENDAR
How to Care:
- Meet People, Teach a skill, Clean a Mess, Pay Dues, Take Action, Make Suggestions, Solve Problems, Fix, Replace & Add Things
- We function as a shared public space where everyone gets to decide what happens and make cool projects together. We vote on complicated ideas and use the DO-ocracy to achieve our goals.
- this takes a little extra patience, tact & consideration of your fellow hacker.
- Leave the Space in better condition than when you arrived
Become a Member
- Take on the extra responsibility to Care for the space alongside everyone in exchange for:
- 24 hour access, Personal Shelf Space, Voting rights, Access to Organize Events,
- We're excited to help you learn more about what this means
Shoutouts
- Evita for donating and Joe and all the support in planning to receive a new laser donation, this is exciting and we will have a discussion to sort out how you can help with the needs ahead of picking up the laser this Saturday

- Embroidery Repair Funds Petition results needed 24 votes, 24 votes received!!! - Helen to pursue next steps
- Helen is pursuing new acquisition of 3D scanning, tool change/jumbo 3d printer via walmart grant
- Will begin nominations for next years Board of Directors - keep an eye for the email thread to kick this off

- Please supply as much information as possible; links to websites or items are GREATLY appreciated. Consumables can be time-consuming to find; broken is not a mind reader!

- Welding gas was spotted low and already been replenished!!
- the website is desiring an update and the people yearn for new content, I have pulled the sword from the stone (remembered my login)
