Shoutouts

• Everyone that tagged along to visit Calliope Art Studio, it was great to see turnout and interest in more of the maker community outside of LVL1. Susanna made herself available to host us, give us a crash course on various printing methods
• Gary & Joe for persistently pursuing my proposed idea toward sensing the light circuits to create an input for a Status Indicator built out of the Traffic Light and restoring Front Door Info Panel

• We got Grant Money - KY Colonel Goodworks Program - partially funded application exceeding $4-G's!! to begin purchasing items when JimD returns in about 2 weeks.
  • Bambu A1, Bambu P2S w AMS, 3D PETG Filament, Planer & Plasma Cutter
  • Reimbursement forms due Oct.30
• Final week to prepare for the NHB Pinewood Derby, is your car ready???
• Additional stock of 3d printer filament has been received!

The Tim VanSant Makership: LVL1's Makership Program

• This program is funded completely through donations and NOT through our membership dues.
• We currently have enough funds to offer a Makership. If you are not a member and want to do a makership:
  • Apply at https://lvl1.org/makership/ and apply via makership@lvl1.org
  • Application deadline is the last day of each month @ 11:59 PM.
  • Become a regular member of LVL1.
  • Get 3 months of membership and up to $100 of project cost reimbursements!
• If you are a member, you can set up a monthly donation to the makership fund! See the treasurer to set this up.
• Members: please talk up the Makership to potential new members.
• If your application is not approved, PLEASE revise and resubmit next month.
• Send any questions about how to submit a successful application to https://lvl1.org/makership/. We want to award a Makership!

Broken/Equipment Report

• Learn as much as you can, ask questions and find out the best practices to keep our available equipment in service.
• If something is broken or needs to be replaced, please send an email to broken@lvl1.org.
• Please supply as much information as possible; links to websites or items are GREATLY appreciated. Consumables can be time-consuming to find; broken is not a mind reader!

Currently Broken

• Internet is fixed
• Rabbit Laser - Replacing the blower motor and upgrading the flue: STATUS: blower position has been adjusted and ready to be dry fit with the stove pipe materials(Jeff directing).
• CR-10 large 3D printer
• Rain intrusion persists - landlord has been pestered. what minimum things can we do? I placed the old hose to extend the downspout.

Quests

• New 3D printers area has been consistently improving - let's maintain ease of use for everyone keep tidy.
• LVL1's 17th birthday coming up in July.
• Collective funds needing generosity for everyone to benefit - pizza fund, cash boxes at filament and vinyl stations if you use LVL1 materials please help pay for their replacement.
• Slapping up stickers and flyers around town - make LVL1 a curious and alluring name.

First Time Visitor Info

• • Please sign the waiver! We have dangerous tools that can cause serious injury if not used correctly and carefully. We're not responsible if you hurt yourself with them but we are happy to help you learn!
  • Minors and/or pets are welcome but must be supervised at all times.

• Irregular Movie and Open Build Night, 8ish? - This is happening in the space. C'mon in and be safe. The best night to be in the space to meet folks and learn something.
