Out of service

Old data

Note on infill: For models that don't need structural integrity, use less infill. Even in the 2-3% range. Less infill means less wasted plastic.

Note on slicing profiles: Watch that someone hasn't reset the profile to something experimental that can damage the Makerbot. Stick with Replicator default unless you know what you're doing.

Note on materials: There may be a mixture of ABS and PLA filament. Make sure to check the labeling and your print settings, as the materials require slightly different settings which will effect your printing success.

ReplicatorG default ABS settings

  • Slicing Profile: Replicator 2 Default

  • Use default start / end gcode (Always check)
  • Use Print-O-Matic (Always check)

Maintenance Log

  • 04/18/2014 - Maintenance log created. Note from Cherith regarding printer not working properly. Test print of 20mm block and octopus using PLA at 230°C, everything appears to be working normally. Extruding nicely on these two jobs, though they were short...only about 20 minutes. Tim says material globs out from the threads of the nozzle and onto the print on longer prints. (Joseph)
  • 06/03/2014 - On 5/28 Divinity found a huge blob encasing the extruder. Apparently still leaking at threads. Someone removed the blob. Tested with the 20mm block, works. Placed a sign on it suggesting it's ok for small prints, but to not leave large ones unattended. (Joseph)
  • 09/15/2014 - Swapped working front console with Clive Badger. Currently installed front console rarely registers [M] button presses. Board has been cleaned numerous times. May need to apply graphite to push button pads. SD card slot may or may not be working. Unrelated note: Currently missing main power supply. (Nathan A.)
