Currently we do not have a space, so why are we charging dues? Simple. We need to start building our reserves so we can safely sign a lease, get insurance, etc. We need to have a good understanding of who is committed to this project. Also, we will call dues paying members before we have a space, founding members. They are the ones who will get a vote on the initial officers and board of directors. We discussed starting dues during the Jan 5 meeting and agreed that it needed to be done. So go ahead and pay your dues. We will take good care of the money (unlike wallstreet)!
