Minutes

  • Call to order at 805 pm by micro colonel, 20 hackers present.
  • Treasury report. Monthly utilities have leveled out around $400 per month. Approx $1200 unallocated funds in the bank.
  • New Business
    • Cprek made a motion to approve Nick Sturtzel as member, second by Hardin... Welcome Nick!!!!
  • Space upgrades
    • Door strike plate by Bill S.
    • Snack machine has been replenished.
  • Mark, Executive Director from Bernheim, came to talk about the "CONNECT" event. The want to have more science and technology... say lasers, balloons, projected images. Last year they had 5,000 attendees. August 27 from 6:21 to 10:21 pm.
  • Anyone interested in a charter bus to MakerFaire Detroit?
  • Jose donated his prize from the Hive13 sumobot contest to LVL1. We can use it as a prize for the next SumoBot contest ;-)
  • Project Roll call
    • Pat is ordering Arduino Cookbooks tonight for cheap. Let him know tonight.
    • Bed race for Derby Fest next year.
    • Pat is wanting to start a Battle Bot competition... specficially a 3 lb weight class.
      • First thing: need about 2 demo bots.
      • Need cost estimate for arena. Next to supply money for arena. (Pat will build it.)
    • Jeff discussed the parts store. Need to add final parts to the store database. If you have componenets that you want in the store, see Jeff.
    • Dan talked more about plans of disemminating info about the balloon to the amateur science world. May still have one more shot to try Trans Atlantic in the next few days.
