These are currently only proposed rules and consequences these will need to be activated by a bylaw change.

14. Operation Guidelines

14.1 Rules

• The rules and consequences must be posted publicly in physical form and maintained on the wiki Rules_and_Consequences
• The Officers and Directors may set uncontroversial rules or consequences in order to protect equipment, maintain the lease, and protect the existence of LVL1.
  • These rules or consequences must be submitted to the membership via the member mailing list for examination for a minimum of 7 days
  • if there are no unresolved objections, the rule or consequence can be instituted without a vote of the membership
• If three members object to a rule or consequence already in effect within 7 days of each other
  • the officers and directors must submit the objection to the members mailing list for review
  • Will be submitted simple majority vote of the membership at the next weekly meeting that is more than 5 days away.
  • Proxy votes are accepted if they are received by the secretary before meeting start.
• Consequences can be assigned to the infracting person or persons by majority vote of the Officers and Directors
  • if within 7 days if 3 or more members call for a review of an incident that has been judged on
    • the issue will be presented to the membership by the members mailing list by the Officers and Directors within 24 hours
    • following that notification a simple majority vote via the responding members to be concluded at the end of the following 24 hours.

Rules

1. Be excellent to each other.
2. No illegal activity as laid out by local and federal laws. (No illegal activity in accordance with local, state and federal laws.)
3. When you make a mess it is your responsibility to clean it up, including taking out the trash. (If you make a mess, it is your responsibility to clean it up.)
4. No Harassment as laid out by the harassment guidelines, local and federal laws. (Do not harass any other members in accordance with local, state and federal laws.)

5. During normal business hours we need to be careful about noise and especially careful about fumes/odors. If a neighbor complains about either of these issues the activity causing the complaint must be ceased immediately. Loud and dirty projects should be confined to the Bunker area. (During normal business hours, do not create odors in the space. Loud and dirty projects should be confined to the Bunker.)
6. All tool "improvements" that are not immediate repairs to bring equipment back to normal operation must be approved by the board of directors or superseded by membership by simple majority vote at a regular meeting with 7 day notice. (Nothing beyond operational repairs may be performed on any machine in the space without board approval or a simple majority vote by all members within the space of a 7 day notice period.)
7. No storing of projects, materials or trash in public work areas. (add: These common areas include:)
   • Woodshop
   • Classroom
   • Metal Shop
   • Main room
   • Walkways
   • Boneyard
   • In front of Electrical Panels, Thermostats, light switches
8. Member personal shelf must be clearly marked with their name. (All member personal shelves must be clearly marked with their name.)
   • This shelf may not be a pallet rack shelf (remove from rules; extraneous.)
   • Space limited to 63L bin(hope that this doesn't need to be define to a single bin but hey people are greedy jerks)
9. Limit all projects stored at LVL1 to 30 days unless it fits on your personal member storage shelf. (This includes group projects.)
   • This includes group projects (remove; see above)
   • This limit can be extended by simple member majority vote at a regular meeting with 7 day notice.
   • After 30 days all abandoned projects can be thrown in the trash.(After 30 days, all projects not in active development are subject to disposal at board member discretion.)
10. ALL Stored Projects not on members personal shelf must be tagged must include
    1. Owner or responsible party Name
    2. Contact Number and Email address
    3. Start Date (not date last worked on)
       • Extended storage date expiration if appropriate (All projects must be tagged with appropriate CFS tag.)
11. No purposeful abuse of the Equipment or hackerspace facilities
12. No purposefully going against a consequence assigned to you. (remove: extraneous)
13. No unauthorized purchases or expenses. (remove: extraneous)
14. Pets must be under their owners control at all times. Owners must ensure they clean up after their pets. (Pets are welcome but must be leashed and controlled at all times. Members are responsible for cleaning up after pets.)

Consequences

Without Consequences Rules are useless

These are not in order of how they should be implemented, each grievance should reviewed and a consequence assigned based on its own severity.

• Loose Ability to store Projects or use member storage for 24 hours
