MINUTES

1. Call to order at 8:00 pm, 20 humans and one dog present. 2. Space issues

  a. Bob brought a fan, still need a vent hood.
  b. Aaron will purchase bbq untensils
  c. New item... looking for wood lathe tools.
  d. Kudo's to Tyler and Ron for the garage door opener.
  e. Jamie donated a macro lends for the Oculus camera... way cool and awesome even.
  f. Jose described the purpose of the 'burn board'. Left side is for items that have emitted blue smoke. The right side is to post updates on projects that you are working on no matter how long you have been working on them.

3. Activities

  a. Brad Luyster lost the names of volunteers for Derbycon. If you volunteered, see Brad and re-volunteer do that you can get a free pass. No name... no pass.
  b. Bryan wants to buy/build/borrow/steal a 2' x 8' banner with the LVL1 logo on it. Bryan will get a proposal and submit to club for action.
  c. LVL1 ANNIVERSARY. Sat July 2, Micro Colonel says clean or lose it.
  d. Kudos to Brad for the 4 week summer camp. (APPLAUSE)

4. Calendar of events.

  a. July 2... anniversary... lots of cool stuff... soldering workshop... margarita contest... be here or be ungeek.
  b. Blooming labs has a new space. Open house on 7/23 10am to 4pm. Time to return some love (ask Grace for details.)
  c. Dan asks for people wanting to share rooms or carpools.
  d. Need to ping Joe about tickets for makerfaire in detroit. Do we get free tickets? How many? Never mind, Joe just walked in. He will post info on the list.
  e. Still looking for volunteers for Bernheim connect.
  f. Still need prizes for LVL1 Halloween sumobot war.
  g. Jeff is looking for ieas to kit and sell. Come to LVL1 Labs on 7/12 at 5:30 pm.

5. Projects and s**t

  a. Bryan has $2080 in pocket toward the $2500 cost of a laser cutter. Getting very close. Bryan will take cash or check or you can donate via PayPal on the web. 
  b. Nick was looking for interest in a Processing and Pure Data workshop. These are software pkgs that a famous traveling programmer wants to put on. Consensus is DEFINITELY. Go for it.
  c. Chris C iw working with Tendai from GLI to set up an intro entrepreneur seminar for engineers.
  d. Dan has a water soluble balloon payload recovery device and is looking for help to build a bunch of them.
  e. Chris C admitted his lackof knowledge of electric bikes. Today he was tutored in how to identify an electric motor.
  f. Bryan is building a laminated - vacuum formed skate board board.
  g. Joe and Nick displayed their circuit board built of copper fused in glass.

6. BRAD LUYSTER WILL BUILD A WEB APP TO CONVERT STL FILE TO G CODE VERY FAST. HE WANTS TO BE HELP RESPONSIBLE. EVERYONE SHOULD ASK HIM DAILY ABOUT THE PROJECT AND THE COMPLETION DATE.
